The Movember challenge is a global annual event that raises awareness for men’s health issues, focusing primarily on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health.
This year, Vancouver Branch Manager Sam Robertson organized this initiative for the company.
As Sam shared:
“I’ve been an advocate for participating in this fundraising event—partly to have a reason to grow a mustache and get my wife’s approval—but more importantly because I’m a cancer survivor.
Five years ago, I was diagnosed with a lymphatic cancer. Because of the dedication and compassion of scientists, doctors, and especially nurses, I’m fortunate to be here today. Movember is my way of honoring them and supporting others who are still fighting.”

Throughout November, we came together to focus on mental health awareness, fundraising for a meaningful cause, and – most importantly – creating a safe and supportive space for one another.
We’re proud to congratulate our two determined swimmers, Sarah McCarthy and Misty Saunby, who set out to swim 5 km (that’s 200 lengths of a 25-metre pool!) and successfully reached their goal. An incredible achievement.
A big thank you also goes out to our talented bakers and sweet-toothed supporters. The bake sale was such a hit that one attendee even asked if they could buy an entire loaf of banana bread – proof that fundraising never tasted so good.
And of course, we can’t forget our team members who grew out their moustaches for the cause, helping spark conversations and raise awareness along the way.
Together, we raised $785 in support of the BC Cancer Foundation, contributing to vital research, care, and support for those affected by cancer. Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and showed their support.
