We are looking for a solutions-driven efficiency expert to support our Project Management Teams in delivering optimal service to our clients. If that sounds like you, read on!

Job Description:

Elevator Inspectors are an integral part of our Inspections and Special Projects Team, in addition to providing field support for our Modernization and New Construction departments. They are the primary point of contact for the client, and manage all day to day activities relating to inspection projects, including, but not limited to:
  • Field review/Site inspections of elevator and escalator equipment
  • Detailed review of Elevator / Escalator Maintenance, Reliability, and Life Cycle concerns
  • Confirm code compliance of equipment and maintenance practices
  • Develop clear recommendations to remedy concerns noted on site
  • Develop material and labour estimates for recommended scope of work
  • Prepare reports, specifications, letters, faxes, transmittals, etc.
  • Bid review, contract review and preparation, bid negotiation
  • Determining project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements
  • Maintaining project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems
  • Business development and other business duties as required
  • Some travel to project locations

Technical Requirements:

  • Elevator Maintenance Contractor Certificate
  • 3 to 5 years' work experience
  • Project management experience an asset
  • Self-employment experience an asset
  • Knowledge of electronics and mechanical equipment
  • Strong knowledge of elevator and escalator installation, maintenance, and upgrade
  • Excellent MS Word, Excel, Outlook skills

We are looking for a detail-driven efficiency expert to complement our Project and Administrative Teams in delivering optimal service to our clients. If that sounds like you, read on! **PLEASE DON'T APPLY IF YOU ARE PURSUING A CAREER AS AN ACCOUNTANT** As a Project Accounting Coordinator, a typical day would include:
  • Send out invoices and collect payments
  • Open, maintain, and reconcile project accounts in our Project Management Software
  • Follow up with clients via phone, email, mail or in-person
  • Assist with month-end closing and archiving
  • Coordinate Contract Change documentation
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Coordinate project invoicing with Project Managers
  • Resolve billing issues (problem solving)
  • Brainstorm with team members on ways to improve processes
  • Special Projects as required
Who are you:
  • You have either experience or training in Office Administration.
  • You work well both as part of a team AND individually.
  • You are highly organized and have the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • You have excellent communication in ENGLISH (spoken and written) and customer service skills!
  • You are tech savvy and proficient with Microsoft Office.
Even better if:
  • You are familiar with Accounts Receivable procedures, particularly for project-based A/R
  • You love data and numbers and like to see things line up!

  • Maintaining project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving issues
  • Review of architectural drawings for equipment configurations, and code compliance as it relates to vertical transportation
  • Field review/Site inspections of elevator and escalator equipment
  • Reports, letters, faxes, transmittals, etc.
  • Review of design, traffic calculations, and specifications prepared by the internal Design Team
  • Bid review, contract review and preparation, bid negotiation
  • Business development
  • Other business duties as required
  • Some travel to project locations

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Designation an asset
  • Self-employment experience an asset
  • Knowledge of elevator and escalator installation, maintenance, and upgrade an asset
  • Excellent MS Word, Excel, Outlook skills
  • CAD/Drawing experience ideal
