Job Description:

Project Managers are an integral part of what we provide at GUNN Consultants. They are the primary point of contact for the client and manage many of the day-to-day activities relating to the project. This role is suited to an experienced Project Manager who is comfortable owning projects end-to-end and making decisions in a consulting environment. The Project Manager will report directly to the Branch Manager and the duties include, but not limited to:

• Daily project management of New Construction, Modernization, and Inspection Projects
• Communication and coordination with architects, developers, property managers, subconsultants, and internal design and project teams to ensure the design conforms to building usage and requirements
• Management and guidance of GUNN staff assigned to your projects (Coordinator, Project Engineer, Site Personnel)
• Determining and maintaining project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, sequencing project elements, monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving issues
• Review of architectural drawings and existing equipment for equipment configurations, and code compliance as it relates to vertical transportation
• Preparation of reports, letters, and project documentation
• Review of design, traffic calculations, and specifications prepared by the internal Design Team
• Bid review, contract review and preparation, bid negotiation
• Field review/Site inspections of elevator and escalator equipment
• Business development and client relationship management
• Other business duties as required
• Travel to project locations across Canada as required

Who You Are:

• Known for exhibiting a high level of coordination, prioritization, and organization
• Strong attention to detail (i.e. recognizing written errors, reviewing documents for accuracy and consistency)
• Demonstrated ownership mindset and comfort managing projects independently (including experience running your own projects or business)
• Known to take initiative and close cycles of action

The Client Development Representative plays a fundamental part in driving revenue growth by identifying new opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, developing and converting leads, and supporting the successful closing of proposals. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive proposal opportunities from initial qualification through closing, coordinating with internal teams

• Communication skills in French an asset

Elevator Inspectors are an integral part of our Inspections and Special Projects Team, in addition to providing field support for our Modernization and New Construction departments. They are the primary point of contact for the client, and manage all day to day activities relating to inspection projects, including, but not limited to:

• Field review/Site inspections of elevator and escalator equipment
• Detailed review of Elevator / Escalator Maintenance, Reliability, and Life Cycle concerns
• Confirm code compliance of equipment and maintenance practices
• Develop clear recommendations to remedy concerns noted on site
• Develop material and labour estimates for recommended scope of work
• Prepare reports, specifications, letters, faxes, transmittals, etc.
• Bid review, contract review and preparation, bid negotiation
• Determining project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements
• Maintaining project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems
• Business development and other business duties as required
• Some travel to project locations
