For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. – Romans 8:18
I grew up in Indonesia and I moved to Canada when I started university. When the opportunity presented itself for me to leave my comfort zone and pursue an education in one of the most renowned universities in the world, I could not turn it down. Even though moving to a new country is scary, I never back out from a challenge. So that’s how I ended up 13,500 kilometers away from home!
If I wasn’t an engineer, I would definitely be a chef. I’m a huge foodie, I love to cook and share my passion for good food. I’ve even briefly worked as a line cook, and I enjoyed it. But, I do enjoy being an engineer more at the moment..
Growing up in a tight-knit community, I want to dedicate myself to doing good for the community. The most impactful way I can do that in the engineering space is to start my own company in the consulting business. I want people to provide engineering services that not only assist people in decision-making, but also convince the necessity of migrating to more sustainable technology in the process. On top of that, being able to replicate the atmosphere of work at GUNN, which is also tight-knit, is something I want to realize in my future firm!
