A friend once described me as the old couch in their living room.
Born in Newfoundland, I studied in Montreal before moving to Vancouver to follow my dream of being on CBC’s hit television show Danger Bay. Being that the show ended its run in 1990, I was catastrophically late. Luckily for me, that meant my calendar was completely open. Having traveled from Canada’s easternmost point to its most westerly shores, the only direction left for me to go was up. Thankfully, that’s a direction GUNN specializes in.
I think I’m a born communicator. I take pride in my abilities to both articulate myself and to attentively listen. My understanding of communication is a perfect balance of these two aspects, rather than simply making sure that I am understood. I think this is the foremost skill I can bring to bear with GUNN. Our emphasis on communication, whether communicating with a client or among ourselves, is a quality that distinguishes us and allows us to consistently provide attentive and focused service.
A friend once described me as the old couch in their living room. At the time I was horrified and offended; how dare they insinuate that I was old and worn and maybe a little musty? In time, however, I came to understand that what they meant was that I was comforting and that I seemed inextricably part of the place; while I was not the most audacious presence, my absence was sorely felt. I was reliable, steady, and accommodating. I hope that someday I will be GUNN’s old couch too.
